Beloved Beetle: My Journey with Volkswagen's Iconic Car For as long as I can remember, I have been in love with cars. Growing up, my parents would take me to car shows and I would spend hours looking at classic cars from different timelines and countries. However, none of them have ever captured my heart quite like the Volkswagen Beetle. I still remember the first time I saw a Beetle on the road. It was a yellow one with black stripes and it drove past me on my way to school. I was instantly in love. The way it hugged the road and its curved profile made it unlike any other car I had ever seen. Fast forward a few years and I finally had my own Beetle. It was midnight blue and had a sunroof which I loved opening on warm summer days. The car was my constant companion through college and my first job. I would take it on long road trips and listen to music on the stereo that I had personally installed. As the years passed, my Beetle started to show its age. It began to require more maintenance and I even had to replace the engine at one point. However, I never once thought about getting rid of it. The memories and experiences I had in that car were irreplaceable. After driving it for over a decade, I finally had to say goodbye to my beloved Beetle. It was a bittersweet moment, but I knew it was time for someone else to enjoy it as much as I had. Nowadays, I still keep an eye out for Beetles on the road. Even though Volkswagen stopped production of the classic car in 2019, I know that the VW brand will always have a special place in my heart.
